Wine Wednesday FLASHBACK: The GG’s Do Oktoberfest
Posted on January 20, 2016
Tiki Taki Tiki Taki OY OY OY! And a Happy #WineWednesday to you, Grape Lover!
We, The Grape Girls, are busy over here in GG Headquarters mapping out a fun year of continued wine shenanigans and we could NOT be more excited to be diving into 2016 with you, the Grape Vine. So while we are hard at work over here, we thought we’d take a moment to throw it back to one of our very first shenanigans, when we took Oktoberfest by storm!
Hosted each year at Alpine Village in Torrence, California, this Oktoberfest is the REAL. DEAL. For over 40 years, Germans and non-Germans alike have made their annual pilgrimage to this “little slice of Bavaria in Southern California” to celebrate and get their drink/drank/drunk on. We thought it’d be so fun to explore not only the (gasp!) beer scene, but also see what kind of wine the Germans break out for the festival.
There was wine. There was beer. There was bratwurst. And of course, there was…THE CHICKEN DANCE.
We hope this brings a smile to your face and fills your heart and glass with joy.
Until next time, show us how you Tip It and Sip It on Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat (@thegrapegirls) and on Instagram (@anytimeanytime). We HEART you!
