Posted on April 8, 2016
Happy Wine Wednes….er, FRIDAY, everyone!
Ok, so we may be a teeeeeeny bit behind on our #WineWednesday post for the week, BUT, meeting you here, on a FRIDAY, mere hours away from the weekend, is highly exciting and gets our hearts pumping and our wine glasses begging for a refill.
Tip it, Sip it & FLiCK it
Have you ever thought, “Gee, this episode of The Vanderpump Rules is so full of drama, I wish I had some LVP Sangria to take the edge off,” or “Man, the relationship between Claire and Frank Underwood in House of Cards is JUST like a Zinfandel…spicy, complex and FULL of alcohol,”? Well, so did we. We thought it’d be super fun to pair our favorite wines with the hottest shows, movies, debates, documentaries and reality tv out there today. Welcome to the very first episode of TIP IT & FLiCK IT! *cue applause/cheers/wine glasses clinking*
Bleed (2016) – Just like it Sounds
Our first stop on the TI&FI train rolls us into horror film land. Oh, goody. ‘Cause who isn’t looking to be scared sh*tless? (Spolier alert: TEE ISN’T, that’s who.) We paired the new movie from Spitfire Studios, Bleed, starring Chelsey Crisp, Riley Smith, Lyndon Smith and our good friend Elimu Nelson, with the 2011 Angst Red Blend from Clavo Cellars: Two Moons collection. The result? A little acid, a little fruit, and a LOT of eye-covering.
It seemed perfect – a new house, a new marriage, a child soon to be born. But when Sarah and Matt invite their friends to celebrate, the situation turns deadly as they enter a burned-out prison on a ghost hunt. -IMDB
Check out the official trailer for Bleed:
Join us next week when Elimu Nelson joins us to talk about the scariest part of making a horror film, the real-life haunted places they shot, who was the biggest scaredy pants on set, and if he were a wine, which one he’d be.
We HEART you!
